Jeffrey Grant Kitto was most recently seen playing The Duke in Rigoletto for the Rimrock Opera and before that, he sang the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly for the Montana Lyric Opera. Previous recent engagements include Cavaradossi in Tosca, Don Jose in Carmen, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore, and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. Jeffrey has most recently performed with the Mendocino Summer Festival Opera, Intermountain Opera, Rimrock Opera,
Spokane Opera, Montana Lyric Opera, Oregon Lyric Opera, the Great Falls Symphony, the Glacier Symphony, and the Helena Symphony.
A multiple recipient of The Metropolitan Opera Auditions National Council Awards as well as a past winner of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Award, Mr. Kitto completed his bachelor’s degree in music from Montana State University.
Jeffrey’s concert experience includes engagements with the Blue Lake Symphony in Michigan, Northwest Symphony, Glacier Symphony, Billings Symphony, Spokane Opera, Helena Symphony, Sweet Pea Summer Festival, and Great Falls Symphony among others. His most recent work includes Haydn’s Mass in Time of War, Gounod’s St. Cecilia Mass, Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasia and 9th Symphony, Carmina Burana, J.S. Bach’s Actus Tragicus, Ralph Vaughn Williams Hodie, and Spokane Opera’s “Hot August Night” concert series. In 2005, Mr. Kitto was the musical director and performed in Montana State University’s production of Batboy, The Musical. Jeffrey was a founding member of national recording artists, The Clintons, with whom he performed, toured, and helped release four albums including the release of the album “Who Invited Roger” which was met with independent acclaim throughout the northwest.
Upcoming engagements for Mr. Kitto include Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte for the University of Montana Opera in February 2012.
